Millennials a fast losing their hair apparently. Or, could it be that millennials are not losing their hair any faster than previous generations. Maybe they are more emotionally affected by hair loss?

Hair loss is progressive. Often starts in the mid-twenties. From there can progress slowly. Genetic hair loss is passed down through both sides of the family.

Recent research has found some interesting data to the age of hair loss sufferers. In China, the research found that individuals in their twenties are going bald sooner than any generation before them. Researchers also reported that some are more likely to report hair loss than others. The students least likely to report hair loss were studying science, math, and automotive engineering.

Although balding is typically associated with advancing age. An increasing number of millennials in the United States say they’re experiencing hair loss. Dr. Andrea Hui, a San Francisco dermatologist, said that both men and women as young as 18 years old are asking her for help. Wanting information in combating hair loss.

Diet can be a strong influence on healthy hair?

The growing popularity of vegetarian and vegan diets could be contributing to millennial hair loss. Research conducted last year by Dr. Emily L. Guo, a resident physician at the Baylor College of Medicine in Texas, indicated that severely reduced protein consumption as well as deficiencies in zinc, vitamin D, and other nutrients can negatively affect hair growth.

Or, maybe, millennials are simply more conscious about their hair and looking good in today’s fast-paced social media world. With celebrities and alike being so visible and a great importance on always looking your best and with apps allowing you to change your look, it could be tempting to wish for something you never had.
