Best Natural DHT Blockers

Natural DHT blockers and foods

Male-pattern baldness is by far the most common male hair loss condition. Accounting for 95% of the hair loss suffered by men. Male Pattern Baldness, also known as MPB or androgenic alopecia. What causes this hair loss and why natural DHT blockers and foods can be beneficial? MPB is a genetic hair loss condition. Inherited from family members from either ser the maternal or paternal genes.

DHT or to give it´s full name dihydrotestosterone is a bi-product from the male hormone testosterone. An enzyme called 5α-reductase combined with the male hormone form DHT. Affecting areas like the prostate and hair follicles in men. It is thought acting as the tigger to the male pattern baldness gene. Slowly affecting the hair growth in genetically-susceptible follicles.

With this in mind fighting DHT seems a good place to try and tackle hair loss. If it is possible to remove or greatly reduce the DHT produced in the body. Then hair loss can also be reduced and possibly stopped. As DHT is a naturally occuring bi-product of testosterone in the body. A concern for men especially could be also affecting testosterone production in the body. Using chemical or drugs can often cause more concerns. As a result we will look at natural DHT blockers and foods that may help in the fight against hair loss.

Nuts For DHT Is An Option

Almonds are a powerful source of DHT inhibition. Rich in LLysine which is a natural DHT inhibitor. Walnuts and pecans are also rich in L-Lysine. Taking cashews on a regular basis is an excellent source of zinc. This can help to stop testosterone converting into DHT. Peanuts have a high biotin count and their high levels of folate ad molybdenum. This makes them very useful as a natural DHT blocker.

Saw Palmetto is probably the most famous natural DHT blocker. Used by many men as a substitute for the FDA approved medication Propecia. This is not a nut as such. But a berry-producing plant native to North America especially. Believed to inhibit the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase. As said earlier, the enzyme responsible for the conversion of testosterone to DHT. Often prescribed by Doctors to tackle enlarged prostate in men. Also caused by the production of DHT. Saw palmetto works best by inhibiting 5-alpha-reductase. Opposed to stopping the activities of DHT. Although studies are minimal the overall consensus by anecdotal users is saw palmetto can be beneficial.
